Volunteer Opportunities

Are you interested in giving back to your community? The Department of Social Services needs volunteers.

Volunteers are needed to supervise visitation to allow parents with children who are separated by family court because of safety concerns an opportunity to spend quality time together. Volunteer Supervisors are trained to monitor visits and provide reports to Caseworkers and Family Court. This work is essential for reuniting families.

Volunteers are also needed to provide transportation for medical and other appointments. Providing reliable transportation in this rural area is of great importance.

If you have an interest in being a foster parent, there is always a need for new foster homes. Few efforts in life are as worthwhile as providing caring and supportive places for children to stay.

You may also have other expertise or help that you would like to share. Please call 379-2706 at the Department of Social Services if you would like to learn more about volunteer opportunities.
