Mission Statement
It is the mission of the St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s office to fairly and diligently represent the People of the State of New York and the People of St. Lawrence County in all criminal proceedings, to safeguard the rights of victims, and to seek justice with steadfast and ethical determination.
Description of services:
The District Attorney’s Office prosecutes all criminal cases in St. Lawrence County. The district attorney and seven assistant district attorneys appear at hearings, trials, and other court proceedings in St. Lawrence County Court, Supreme Court, Family Court and the thirty-six city, town and village courts across the county.
In addition to criminal cases, the District Attorney’s Office also handles non-criminal violations of the Penal Law and the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
The District Attorney and his staff work daily with over twenty local, state, federal and international law enforcement agencies to ensure the administration of justice and protect the residents of St. Lawrence County.
