Inmate Telephone Calls
Inmates at the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility are permitted to make outgoing calls to friends and family through the inmate telephone system provided by GTL. You may set up and account with GTL to receive collect calls from inmates by calling toll free 1-866-230-7761. You may also visit the website at http://www.gtl.net/
Please be advised that an inmate's telephone privileges, except for attorney calls, may be suspended by the SLCCF as a result of pending disciplinary actions, administrative actions, as part of a disciplinary sanction, or if telephone use presents a threat to security.
Packages
The contents of any incoming packages are to be purchased from and mailed directly to the facility, through a company whose ordinary business includes the sale and shipping of such items.
The following is a list of items that inmates may receive:
Undergarments; to include;
- Underwear/boxers
- Socks (white only)
- T-shirts (plain white only) - no pockets, logos, designs or advertisements of any style or fashion, no sleeveless t-shirts or tank tops allowed
Printed materials and publications, to include;
- Paperback books
- Magazines
- Newspapers
Facility approved religious article (s);
Facility approved religious medallion - must not be larger than 1 inch;
Photographs;
All items listed may also be purchased by the inmate through the facility commissary program.
Depositing Funds for Inmates
An account is set up for each inmate at the time of booking into the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility. This account allows friends and family to deposit monies so the inmate can purchase personal items, snacks, postage, etc. through the inmate commissary.
You can deposit funds into an inmate’s commissary account in the following ways - you will need the inmate’s name and inmate’s number:

- A money kiosk machine is available at the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility. This kiosk allows family/friends to drop money off twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week. A service fee of $4.00 will be applied for each deposit (up to $300) made via the on site kiosk. A service fee of $4.95 will be applied for each credit card deposit made via web/mobile app/phone. The service fee is charged solely by the vendor.

Inmate Mail
We encourage friends and family members to correspond with inmates during their incarceration at the SLCCF. Inmates are allowed to send and receive unlimited correspondence that complies with the SLCCF Mail Policy.
Postage paid envelopes and writing paper is available for inmates to purchase through the facility commissary (see Inmate Funds).
Mail Rules
- Correspondence must be typed in black ink or handwritten in black or blue ink pen and/or non-colored pencil only. No crayons, markers, colored pencils or the like.
- Correspondence must be on plain white paper, free of stains, spills or discoloration.
- Drawings must be on plain white paper, free of stains, spill or discoloration and done in black ink pen and/or non-colored pencil, only.
- Greeting cards may be sent but must be single-layered and white in color.
- NO glitter, glitter glue, confetti, stamps (other than postage stamps), stickers, labels, or seals are allowed on letters, drawings, greeting cards or the envelope, or in the envelope the mail is sent in.
- All correspondence must be free of perfume/cologne.
