Office For The Aging Advisory Council

Pursuant to Section 306 of the Older Americans Act of 1965, the Office for the Aging Advisory Board was created.  It was established to advise the area agency on aging on all matters relating to the development of the area plan, the administration of the plan and operations conducted under the plan.

Membership shall include a volunteer group of fifteen citizens of which more than fifty percent (50%) must be senior citizens including minority individuals and those with the greatest economic or social need.  Other individuals on the Council may include representatives of older persons, local elected officials (Board of Legislators) and the general public.

Term:  Three years.
