Each local government in New York State must designate a Single Point of Access for Children and Families (CSPOA). CSPOA's purpose is to identify children between the ages of 5 and 21 that are at risk of hospitalization or out of home treatment. Children's SPOA works to ensure access to services is timely and appropriate. The Children's SPOA Coordinator provides case consultation, systems navigation and linkage to community-based support services.
Children's SPOA services are for everyone regardless of income or insurance. Specific services are recommended by the CSPOA Coordinator based upon the individual needs of the child and family and eligibility requirements.
