ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

    1. PROJECT INFORMATION
      1. Notice to Bidders: Qualified bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders.
      2. Project Identification: (2023-30) St Lawrence County Public Safety Complex Renovation
        Project Location: 49-1/2 Court Street, Canton, NY 13617, United States.
        Owner: St Lawrence County.
        1. Owner's Representative: Ruth Doyle.
      3. Architect: Beardsley Architects + Engineers.
        1. Architect's Representative: Michael Reynolds, RA
      4. Project Description: See Multiple Contract Summary, Section 01 12 00.
      5.  Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work:
        1.  Multiple Contract Project consisting of the following prime contracts:
          1. General Building Construction.
          2. Plumbing Construction.
          3. Mechanical Construction.
          4. Electrical Construction.
    2. BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENING
      1. Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows:
        1. REVISED Bid Date: November 28, 2023 
        2. Bid Time: 3:00 p.m. , local time.
        3. Location: St. Lawrence County Purchasing Office, 48 Court Street, Canton, NY 13617.
      2. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.
    3. BID SECURITY
      1. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
    4. PREBID MEETING
      1. Prebid Meeting: See Document 002513 "Prebid Meetings."
    5.  DOCUMENTS
      1. Bid Documents may be viewed and/or purchased after October 6, 2023, at the Syracuse Blue Print Planroom in electronic (pdf) or hard copy format.  Viewable in “Public Jobs” tab.  Contractors will purchase complete sets only. Online access will be provided to all registered bidders and suppliers.

    1.  TIME OF COMPLETION
      1. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time.
    2. BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS
      1. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work.  A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
