National Public Health Week April 4 - 10

National Public Health Week (NPHW) – April 4 – April 10

Canton, NY— The St. Lawrence County Public Health Department is celebrating National Public Health Week (NPHW) April 4th – April 10th! This year’s theme, “Public Health Is Where You Are”, celebrates what we know is true: The places where we are, physically, mentally, and societally, affect our health and our lives. As we celebrate NPHW, we want everyone to know they can make their community a healthier and safer place for all.

Join us in observing NPHW as we celebrate the power of prevention, advocate for healthy and fair policies, share strategies for increasing equity and champion the role of a strong public health system. Be sure to check out the St. Lawrence County Public Health Department Facebook page @SLCPublicHealth each day of National Public Health week as we share ways everyone can step in and do what they can do make our community a more equitable, safe, and healthy place. We will also be sharing information about each of the programs and services St. Lawrence County Public Health offers.

St. Lawrence County Public Health would like to thank our variety of partnerships with local hospital systems, federally qualified health centers, K-12 and higher education, human services, and community-based organizations who continuously work to improve the health of our community.

As we move slowly back towards gathering in person, we can begin to focus on what we can not only do as individuals, but what we can do as a community to protect and prioritize public health. We look forward to celebrating NPHW 2022!
