(2024-16) Rebid Gouverneur Transfer Station Renovations

Sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor and material necessary for Bid No. 2024-16 REBID Gouverneur Transfer Station Renovation will be received by the St. Lawrence County Purchasing Department, 48 Court Street, Canton, New York 13617, until 3:00 P.M. local time, June 18, 2024. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Bids will be received for the following Contract: Contract No. 1 – REBID Gouverneur Transfer Station Renovation.  Contract Documents, including Invitation to Bidders, Informationf for Bidders, Wage Rates, Bid Documents, Agreement, Special Notes, Specifications, Contract Drawings and any Addenda, may be examined, at no expense, at the office of St. Lawrence County Department of Highways, 44 Park Street Canton, New York 13617 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained from the St. Lawrence County Purchasing Office, 48 Court Street, Canton, New York 13617. The Purchasing Office may be contacted through email at [email protected] or by phone (315) 379-2207. Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof.

All work items associated with the rehabilitation of the scales and scale foundation as shown in the Contract Plans shall be completed by November 1, 2024. All remaining work items associated with the miscellaneous steel repairs, removal and replacement of existing articulating crane support and rehabilitation of trash deflectors as shown in the Contract Plans shall be completed by December 27, 2024.

This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the County of St. Lawrence prior to incorporation into the work of the Contract. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids.
