The objective of the Gouverneur Fair Board is to instruct the general public on agricultural, horticultural, domestic arts, and allied science matters through an annual fair, to promote and further the interest in agriculture in SLC and surrounding areas. The Fair encourages the development of youth leadership through agriculturally related competition and participation in activities to encourage community based efforts aimed at promoting social and recreational activities in the area, and to foster a spirit of cooperation among its members and to exchange ideas on management and problems of general interest.
The County Board of Legislators selects a Director Representative on an annual basis who shall be entitled to vote.
